With our free and paid courses we will have you speaking like a Sabra in no time!

We offer free and paid courses, a feature-rich community, unique blogs on Israeli and Jewish culture, a large grammar section covering every aspect of Hebrew syntax, a library filled with Hebrew books for every age, a media section with Hebrew music, movies, T.V., games, and more, resources with links to Hebrew newspapers, radio stations, and dictionaries, a workbook full of exercises, tests, and exams to practice and validate your Hebrew skills, and much more! If you have always wanted to learn Hebrew, but never knew where to start you have come to the right place.

The Hebrew Blog is in urgent need of donations!

The Hebrew Blog is a website maintained by a university student in his free-time. Web hosting and development is expensive, and while I am passionate about the Hebrew language and Israel, I am not able to financially sustain this website on my own. Any donation you are able to offer is greatly appreciated and will be reflected in the future success of this website.

Weekly Update

Since The Hebrew Blog is currently in developmental stages content-based posts are on an indefinite hold. However, that does not mean progress is not being made on the website. The following is a list of updates and features that have been made to The Hebrew Blog in the past week.

The Hebrew Blog

General Comments: The Hebrew Blog is currently being organized and having its skeleton built before heavy content is added to the site. We want the website to offer as much services as possibly in the most effective and organized manner. With that said, we are experimenting with layouts, post and page templates, menus and menu items, and more. Most content will not be added to the website until the skeleton (or index) of the website is stable.

Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been drafted.
General pages have been created and have either been written and finalized, or will be written and finalized within the next couple of days. These pages include: About Us, Introduction to Hebrew, Facts and Figures, Why learn Hebrew?, Jobs using Hebrew, Hebrew in English, Is Hebrew hard?, Advertise, Careers, Contact Us, and Donate.
A page menu has been created on the homepage and will be utilized on certain pages to facilitate for quicker navigation. The following pages have been added to it so far: Frequently Asked Questions, Services, Updates, Word of the Day.
A template for the Word of the Day has been posted and will be finalized soon. The date for the Word of the Day to become active has not been determined.
The Updates page will be a blog stream of these weekly updates and other major update posts.
The Frequently Asked Questions page will include questions commonly asked through our contact page. A Q&A plugin will likely be installed soon to facilitate for a more participatory question and answer experience.
The Services page will be a pictorial list of ever feature The Hebrew Blog offers to facilitate for easier navigation.
Debating on whether the Library should be static pages or an actual organization script.
The Alphabet page was created and includes 5 subpages; Consonants, Vowels, Semi-consonants, Final Letters, and Transliteration.

Current Development Priority: High

The Hebrew Community

General Comments: The Hebrew Community is a collection of forums, member blogs, a chatroom, downloads manager, forums, member profiles, a store, content pages, a gallery and a content tracker. It is currently active and usable, however, development will be limited until The Hebrew Blog is developed and an established community has been made.

Current Development Priority: Low

The Hebrew Moodle

General Comments: The Hebrew Moodle is an e-learning environment where courses will be created and made available for free (and perhaps pay) to our members. It will include an interactive online learning experience where users will be able to communicate with teachers and students and participate in various e-learning activities. Courses on The Hebrew Blog will be independent from courses on The Hebrew Moodle in order to offer a diverse selection.

Current Development Priority: Medium

The Israel Blog

General Comments: The Israel Blog will be an independent blog on the country of Israel and everything it entails. Although it will be hosted by The Hebrew Blog and part of this network, posts and resources will not be exclusively related to Hebrew.

Current Development Priority: Low

The Jewish Blog

General Comments: The Jewish Blog will be an independent blog on the religion of Judaism and Jewish culture. Like The Israel Blog, posts will not be exclusively related to Israel.

Welcome to The Hebrew Blog!

Welcome to our community. The Hebrew Blog was created to be the world’s largest Hebrew language learning website. Our goal is two-fold. Like most language learning websites we seek to provide free and paid resources and educational material for those who want to learn Hebrew, but we also want to create a community that allows you to use Hebrew after you have learned it. We want to engage and motivate members as much as possible. With that said if you want to really learn Hebrew and actually use it, you have come to the right place! If you support our cause and are motivated please consider joining us. We appreciate any help you can offer whether it be writing an article for us, recommending us to a friend, donating, or naything else you see fit.
